Eco-Tourism Programs in South Korea's Summer Eco-Tourism Spots

The South Korean Ministry of Environment announced summer eco-tourism programs across 27 eco-tourism sites nationwide. These areas, valued for their ecological conservation significance, offer visitors a chance to engage in nature through educational activities. Programs include various experience types such as valley, river, lake, wetland, tidal flat, marine, and forest explorations. In Changwon, visitors can observe summer migratory birds like the great reed warbler and participate in water gun games that include ecological education. Programs in other regions include tidal flat creature observations, firefly watching, and local food tasting. Some areas will accept 'local currency' (a regional currency used in specific areas to promote local economy). The Ministry emphasizes eco-tourism as a sustainable way to preserve nature and support local communities.
