My purpose for coming to Korea was to get laser eye surgery. The first day involved an eye exam to see if my eyes were a good fit. If everything was fine, the surgery could be scheduled immediately. A translator accompanied me throughout the entire process, from entering the clinic to the surgery itself. The examination process was very efficient, with dedicated staff for each procedure – very professional. After all the examinations, my eyes were a bit dry, so I chose SMILE Pro. Having a translator (who happened to be Taiwanese) by my side during the surgery was incredibly helpful and encouraging. I couldn't get my eyes wet that day, so I didn't wash my hair. Some people recommended bringing your own goggles. The clinic's eye care education was very clear. The doctor checked my eyes again after the surgery. The evening was the most uncomfortable; my eyes were very sore and had a lot of glare. I had to continuously use artificial tears (every 10 minutes). I used the drops every 2 hours that day, and every 4 hours the next day! My vision immediately returned to 1.0 the next day – I really regretted not coming sooner! I went back for another check-up the next day and was able to go shopping and sightseeing normally again, just continuing with the eye drops and artificial tears. It was a very smooth experience and I highly recommend it! It's recommended to have someone accompany you, as you might feel unwell and have difficulty seeing clearly on the first day.
