On a mother–daughter trip, the three generations of us wore hanbok as a keepsake. Since it was the rainy season and we were worried about the weather, we made a reservation the day before. We were able to book an early morning time, so the shop wasn’t crowded and we could take our time choosing! For the dressing, they properly checked the length and chose the chima for me so that my feet wouldn’t be completely visible, so I was able to wear it beautifully. They also gave us extra rental time as a service, but I couldn’t stand it because of the heat (lol). Thank you for giving me cold water when I came back into the shop (*^^*). I’d like to visit again in another season, too. The staff are basically fluent in Korean, Chinese, and English. The owner (?) can speak a little Japanese.

This time I rented a hanbok here. They had a huge variety—lace, gradients, and elegant designs—and there were lots of hanbok you don’t really see at other shops, too. The staff were incredibly kind, and since they speak Japanese, they helped me pick everything together, from designs that suited me to the accessories, so I felt at ease. The hair styling was quick and skillful, and it turned out perfectly to match the hanbok, which really boosted my mood. While walking around Gyeongbokgung Palace, people even called out “Lovely!”, and it looked amazing in photos too. The hanbok designs, the staff’s service, and the hair styling—everything was completely satisfying. If you’re thinking about trying a hanbok experience on your trip to Korea, this is a shop I’d definitely recommend!

Boa was super friendly and was able to replicate exactly what I was looking for when I shared an inspo photo! I discovered this salon when I was trying to find inspo pics on Pinterest and I’m so glad I booked with them. It’s sort of difficult to find hair salons in Seoul that are good at alt designs/looks, so I will definitely be back here again!!
