The Gangwon Provincial Theater's 2025 regular performance, 'The Cat That Taught the Seagull to Fly', concluded on October 22nd. The play toured multiple cities in Gangwon Province, creating a stage 'enjoyable for ages 8 to 98'. Starting with an oil-soaked dying mother seagull scene, the tale pivots to a cat's challenging childcare journey. The musical incorporates modern interpretations of Goryeo songs and realistic cat movements. The story critiques ecological destruction while promoting hope through the cross-species connection. It will be featured at the Geochang International Theater Festival next month.
