Capella to Open First European Hotel in Florence by 2027

Luxury hotel brand Capella Hotels and Resorts, headquartered in Singapore, will make its European debut in 2027 with the opening of Capella Florence in central Florence, Italy. Located on the historic Via San Gallo, near Florence Cathedral and Piazza della Libertà, the hotel will incorporate and reinterpret a complex that dates back to the 12th century. This site once housed several convents and served as an artist's residence and military hospital. The project involves Italian architectural firms RPA and De Vita & Schülze, along with French design house LIAigre. The hotel will feature 89 rooms, including suites and residences, and offer various dining options, a rooftop bar, spa, and cultural programs. This entry marks Capella's expansion into Europe, enhancing its global luxury presence.
