Access to 'Hill of Wind' in Maebongsan Restricted During Summer Peak Season

In Taebaek city, access to the popular summer attraction 'Hill of Wind' on Maebongsan will be restricted from July 20 to August 8 due to safety concerns related to the construction of wind power facilities by Korea Midland Power. Entry to 'Hill of Wind' will be blocked, and the shuttle bus service usually available during peak season will be suspended. Alongside the wind turbine construction, Taebaek city is also working on creating a smart farm and developing a detour road in Maebongsan. The restriction aims to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of citizens and tourists. The city plans to enhance the area to a more attractive tourist destination once it reopens.
