IFA 2026 in Berlin Spotlights AI, Robotics and Smart Home Tech

IFA 2026, Europe’s largest consumer electronics show, opens in Berlin Sept. 4–8 under the theme “The Future Is Now.” Over 1,900 companies from 49 countries and some 220,000 visitors are expected. The event is shifting from traditional appliance displays to emphasize AI, robotics, and digital health as core platforms for next‑generation tech. Major Korean firms including Samsung and LG will showcase AI-enabled home appliances and B2B programs, while 79 Korean companies and organizations attend overall. Chinese participation reaches a record 932 companies, expanding into Europe amid tougher U.S. competition; brands like Hisense, TCL, Roborock, Ecovacs and Xiaomi (making its IFA debut) will present smart‑home and robot products. European makers such as Miele, Siemens and Bosch will counter with AI and high‑efficiency appliances. Global IT players including NVIDIA and AMD will present AI and computing demos, and IFA will introduce a “robot runway” featuring humanoid robots and cultural programs to attract younger audiences.
