One Week to Go: Yeosu World Islands Expo Holds Large-Scale Preview Rehearsal

With the 2026 Yeosu World Islands Expo opening in one week, organizers held a full-scale rehearsal at the main Jinmo site, inviting about 20,000 citizens for a 'Preview Day.' The mock run operated from 10:00 to 21:00 to check the entire visitor process—entry, movement, stay and exit—while testing emergency response, shuttle and traffic management, parking, performances and 14 other operational areas. Around 1,000 visitors entered at opening, then toured the facilities freely. The organizing committee said it will fix identified shortcomings before the expo, which runs Oct. 5–Nov. 4 across Jinmo, Gaedo and Geumodo islands and aims to attract 3 million visitors with participation from 31 regional governments and 3 international organizations.
