Jinsol’s 10-Year Mahler Project Culminates in Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection”

Jinsol, artistic director of the project orchestra Mahlerian, completes a decade-long performance project of Gustav Mahler’s complete symphonies with Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection” on October 9 at Lotte Concert Hall. Founded by young Korean musicians who love Mahler, Mahlerian began the private-sector full-cycle project in 2017. The final work, known for its large orchestra, chorus, and two vocal soloists, explores life, death, loss, and hope. Over 100 Mahlerian players and a combined chorus of about 120 singers (including Wonju City Choir, Seoul Motet Choir, and Winner Opera Choir) participate; soprano Kang Hye-jung and alto Kim Se-rin are the soloists. Jinsol, educated at Korea National University of Arts and Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Mannheim, has led major orchestras, collaborated on game and media IP projects, and served in cultural roles including as an ARKO commissioner and a professor. She was named a 2026 public relations ambassador for the Presidential Committee on National Unity. Tickets are available via Lotte Concert Hall, NOL Ticket, and Ticketlink.
