Major Korean food companies are providing relief to residents affected by recent heavy rains in South Gyeongsang Province. CJ CheilJedang is supplying about 3,000 ready meals and snacks — including Hetbahn (instant cooked rice), Hetbahn Sotban (microwavable rice bowls), Bibigo soups, Spam, and roasted chestnuts — to affected areas in Geoje and Tongyeong through the National Disaster Relief Association. Dongseo Foods is donating 1,400 boxes of coffee mixes, ready-to-drink coffees, bottled water, and cereal bars to the Korea National Council on Social Welfare’s food bank to support evacuees and recovery workers. Earlier, Ottogi delivered around 1,000 cup noodles and cup meals to an indoor gym in Geoje, and Sangmidang Holdings’ Happy Foundation gave 1,000 breads and 1,000 bottles of water to Dundeok-myeon with the Red Cross. These companies have participated in coordinated emergency relief efforts in past disasters and continue community support for recovery and relief operations.
