Korean fashion e-commerce platforms are adding food and beverage (F&B) categories to attract repeat buyers and increase time spent on their sites. W Concept is running its first “Food Fair” with about 200 brands offering premium desserts, coffee, inner-beauty supplements, and traditional liquor (jeontongju). The event features Chuseok gift sets, daily limited-price deals, brand days, and coupons. Other platforms like 29CM and Abley are also boosting F&B selections—29CM’s food sales rose ~41% year-on-year, with dessert sales jumping 691%, while Abley’s food sales grew ~50%. Platforms say food drives more frequent shopping visits and can cross-sell fashion, beauty, and lifestyle items by leveraging curated, taste-focused offerings.
