'Queen of Dim Sum' Chef Jung Ji-sun Named Ambassador for 2026 Wonju Dumpling Festival

Wonju City has appointed Chef Jung Ji-sun, a Chinese cuisine specialist known as the 'Queen of Dim sum' (bite-sized Cantonese dumplings), as the promotional ambassador for the 2026 Wonju Dumpling Festival. Famous through TV shows and online content, Jung will promote the festival both online and in person and will present a special live cooking show for visitors during the event. The festival runs Oct. 23–25 along the Wonjucheon Dawn Market area, with a redesigned venue this year, closer ties to nearby traditional markets, various dumpling foods, performances, hands-on experiences, and citizen-participation programs.
