Goesan County to Host 'Chimaek' Festival During Chili Pepper Fair

Goesan County in North Chungcheong will hold a 'chimaek' (chicken and beer) festival on Day 2 of the 2026 Goesan Chili Pepper Festival, with events running 2–8 PM at the Goesan Traditional Market arcade. Chicken exchange coupons cost 10,000 won and beer coupons 3,000 won; buyers receive raffle tickets for prizes. Coupons can be pre-booked at the Goesan Market Merchants' Association customer center. At 7 PM a celebratory concert featuring singers Lee Chan-won, Jinwook, Song Min-jun and Kwak Ji-eun will take place on the main stage at the Goesan Organic Expo Plaza. Market traders organized the chimaek event to give festival visitors warm memories at the traditional market.
