Paradise Spa Dogo in Asan, South Chungcheong reported a 20.4% increase in weekend visitors over Jan 31–Feb 1 compared with last year, driven by a rare cold wave and growing wellness travel trends. Weekend attendance reached about 6,000, and annual entries in 2025 topped roughly 400,000—comparable to peak summer weekends. The resort attributes growth to the post-pandemic rebound, a rise in weekday visits by workers taking leave, and the popular “spa trip” trend (Spa+Trip) offering experiential programs like running spa and aquatherapy. Visitors are drawn by hot springs’ benefits for circulation and fatigue recovery, combined with nearby attractions such as Oeam Folk Village, Gaesimsa Temple, Sudeoksa Temple, and the Yedangho suspension bridge. With easy access from Seoul (about 1–1.5 hours) and on-site lodging like Cabin Park, Paradise Spa Dogo is positioning winter spa trips as a modern wellness lifestyle.
