Seoul-based startup ExoSystems, founded through the government’s TeX-Corps lab-startup support program, won a CES 2026 Innovation Award for its AI-driven digital biomarker rehabilitation platform, exoRehab. Using wearable sensors and AI, exoRehab analyzes musculoskeletal movement and muscle-use data to provide personalized exercise protocols, remote monitoring, and outcome tracking so patients can receive professional rehab care at home—addressing medical "blind spots." CEO Lee, who began research at ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) and later founded the company after personal rehabilitation experience, led product development and secured a KRW 4.5 billion Series A in 2021 to pursue global expansion. The government plans to expand the TeX-Corps program this year (doubling its scale) to support more university and research institute teams, aiming to accelerate lab-to-market startups and strengthen R&D-based entrepreneurship.
