Korean fashion brands are opening flagship and specialty stores in tourist hotspots like Myeong-dong, Seongsu, and Hongdae to attract foreign visitors and boost global brand recognition. Musinsa plans a new Myeong-dong store and additional Seongsu outlets after seeing rising foreign customer sales—Chinese customer spending at its Myeong-dong store rose 48% year-on-year. Kolon Sports opened 'Kolon Sports Seoul' in Myeong-dong, reporting 80% of sales from foreigners and about 15,000 visitors in two weeks. Other retailers such as Handsome (Time brand) and LF (operating 'Space H Seoul' for Hazzys) are also adding tourist-friendly services—free luggage storage, photo booths, and experiential displays—to improve convenience and engagement. The moves come as arrivals reach record levels (about 19 million last year) and are expected to top 20 million this year, with Chinese tourists the largest group.
