Kolon Sport Opens Global Flagship Store in Myeong-dong

Kolon Sport, an outdoor brand of Kolon Industries FnC, opened a new flagship store “KOLON SPORT SEOUL” in Myeong-dong, Seoul, on January 9. Targeting Myeong-dong’s high foreign tourist traffic, the store aims to serve as a domestic hub for the brand’s global expansion after success in China. The two-floor shop emphasizes the brand philosophy of “connection with nature” through design that blends natural materials (wood, exposed concrete) with metal, and uses mobile display modules and digital screens to guide customer flow. The ground floor features performance and backpacking lines plus 32 store-exclusive and limited items inspired by traditional Korean materials and aesthetics, while the second floor houses shoes and lifestyle collections like “Everyday,” “Weather Monster” (fishing), and “Trail Running.” The store is sales-focused with a premier lounge for selected customers and runs a purchase-gift promotion from Jan 9–18. Kolon Sport plans to use this Myeong-dong location as a strategic touchpoint to expand interactions with global customers.
