Hana Tour Opens Shanghai Office to Target Both FIT Travelers and Business Clients

Hana Tour has opened a local Shanghai branch (a China-based subsidiary office) to capture rising post–visa-waiver travel demand from Koreans. The office will operate under the Chinese corporation, strengthen direct purchasing of local hotels and attraction tickets, and develop new FIT (free independent traveler) and customized tours. It will also bolster customer service for emergencies and offer corporate travel services to serve both individual leisure travelers and business clients. Hana Tour chose Shanghai because of short flights, expanded air routes, strong urban tourism content, and rapid recovery in visitor numbers to big Chinese cities since the 2024 Korea-China visa-free policy.
