AI hospitality tech firm H2O Hospitality has signed a supply contract with Indonesian property platform Mamikos to roll out smart check-in systems and digital door locks across about 17,000 Kos (small studio-style rental units) that Mamikos directly manages. This marks H2O’s first entry into Indonesia and its eighth global expansion after markets such as Japan and Singapore. Mamikos, founded in 2015, lists some 3 million Kos rooms and over 200,000 properties across more than 150 cities, serving over 6 million monthly users with services from virtual tours to booking and payments. The smart access solution lets renters receive room passcodes via common chat apps and enter keyless, reducing on-site key handovers, losses, and operational inefficiencies. H2O plans to leverage tenant stay and access data to expand personalized services like automated utility payments, cleaning, and facility reservations. Both companies expect the move to raise operational standards and security across Indonesia’s fast-growing Kos rental market.
