Support for Emerging Young Artists: 'Seoul Connect Stage' Opens Jan 26

Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture will stage the 2026 "Seoul Connect Stage" from Jan 26 to Feb 13, showcasing first public performances by graduating young artists in theater, dance, and traditional arts. The program, aimed at students graduating in February, selected 27 teams (169 participants) through a nationwide call and will present performances at multiple venues including Seoul Theater Creation Center and Seoul Culture and Arts Education Centers (Eunpyeong and Gangbuk). In addition to performance opportunities, participants receive up to 50 million won in fees, rehearsal and presentation spaces, integrated publicity, networking, and reviews from arts professionals and citizen audiences. The initiative is part of a new "companionship to nurture future artists" project addressing low continuation rates of independent creative careers among arts graduates.
