Goyang City Donates ₩10.61 Million in Public Air Miles Goods to Help Vulnerable Residents

Goyang City held a donation ceremony on Dec. 30 to deliver goods purchased using public air mileage accrued from official business travel. Seventy-three municipal employees used the miles to buy items worth about ₩10.61 million and donated them to Deogyang Haengsin Comprehensive Social Welfare Center. Combined with an earlier donation this year, the city has provided roughly ₩23 million in goods to low-income residents across Deogyang-gu, Ilsandong-gu, and Ilsanseo-gu via local welfare centers. The program is voluntary for staff and demonstrates Goyang’s effort to use public resources efficiently and transparently for ongoing social contributions.
