KORAIL Tourism Development has earned its fourth consecutive family-friendly certification and a seventh straight recognition for community contribution by maintaining high real-world use of employee support programs. Over the past three years the company reported 100% use of reduced working hours during pregnancy, a 93.3% job retention rate after parental leave, 97.5% use of women’s childcare leave and reduced hours, 94.7% use of partner paternity leave, and 50.3% flexible work usage. The firm also introduced childbirth bonuses and child allowances, provides discounted stays at partner resorts and has internal leisure and exercise clubs. For community impact it reduced 240,000 sheets of paper by introducing kiosks, transitioned heating/cooling systems from gas to electric, ran special tourism programs for depopulated areas, and kept ISO 37001 anti-corruption certification. Ten volunteer clubs with 276 members logged 14,352 annual service hours and the company added ESG performance to internal evaluations. Executives say these practical, well-used policies and sincere local engagement are key to creating a workplace that balances work, family, and social responsibility.
