Artist Ianwook (37) is holding a solo ceramic exhibition titled “Ghost Whale’s Picture Diary” from November 26–30 at Eum Gallery in Daehangno, Seoul. This is his seventh solo show; Ianwook has Down syndrome (a congenital developmental disability) and has often been nicknamed “Ghost” because of a habit described as suddenly appearing and then quickly disappearing. His earlier work depicted neglected or vengeful spirits from horror narratives, but this exhibition—framed as a picture diary—focuses on scenes that compress moments of everyday life: small, special but ordinary experiences rather than ghostly figures.
