Musical 'Evita' Offers Full Lyrics via QR Code to Aid Audience Understanding

Producer Bluestage has introduced a lyrics-viewing service for the sung-through musical Evita, which tells the turbulent life of Argentina’s First Lady Eva Perón. Running at the BBCH Hall of the Gwanglim Arts Center, the production features Kim So-hyun, Kim So-hyang, and Yuria sharing the title role. Because the show is entirely sung with no spoken dialogue (sung-through), Bluestage now provides a free full-lyrics service accessible via a QR code printed on an “Eva Coin” distributed at the theater’s ticket and merchandise booths. The company said pre-reading the lyrics will help audiences better follow and understand sections that can be hard to hear during live singing. The run continues through January 11 next year.
