In Seoul’s Insadong cultural district, Yoon Gallery and Dancheong have moved to Gwangneung Building and opened a joint show titled “Letters and Furniture.” The exhibition pairs works by modern masters such as Lee Ungno, Nam Kwan and Kim Chang-yeol—including Kim’s signature water-drop (mulbangul) ink paintings—with traditional Korean furniture (e.g., soban, bandaji) and ceramics like buncheong-ware. Still lifes by Park Dae-sung, folk-style paintings by Woo Young-sook and Choi Seo-won, pencil works by Hong Kyung-taek, and number landscapes by Kim I-o are arranged alongside old chests, drawers and cabinets to create dialogues between contemporary art and historical objects. The show runs through the 25th.
