On the 29th at 7 PM at Seongsu Art Hall, jazz vocalist Kim Juhwan presents “Kim Juhwan Sings American Songbook – Sinatra Songbook,” a homage to Frank Sinatra. Tickets are 66,000 KRW and available via Naver Reservation and NolTicket. Kim, a four-time nominee for Best Jazz Vocal Album at the Korean Music Awards, has released 11 studio albums and is preparing a Sinatra-tribute 12th album for the singer’s 110th anniversary. The concert features Kim’s band led by music director Choi Sujin plus a 9-piece string ensemble, forming a 19-piece big band inspired by Count Basie, and will reinterpret classics like “My Way” and “Fly Me to the Moon” with modern sensibility. The program, which blends swing, bossa nova, and pop, was well received when previewed at the Gwacheon Jazz Picnic and is accessible to both jazz fans and newcomers.
