Lotte Wellfood Forecasts Record Pepero Sales of ₩241.5 Billion, Eyes Global Expansion

Lotte Wellfood expects Pepero annual sales to reach ₩241.5 billion this year, a 12.2% rise from last year and the highest on record. Exports are projected to grow about 30% to roughly ₩90 billion, driven by growing international interest in 'Pepero Day' and strong domestic loyalty. Since 2020 the company has pushed a global marketing campaign and named K-pop group Stray Kids as global ambassadors, running TV, outdoor and subway promotions in Seoul and selling limited collaboration packages that sold out. The company also runs a participatory global program called AGENT:P, which drew applicants from 107 countries; 11 ambassadors visited Korea to create content at sites like Gyeongbokgung and Lotte World Tower. Pepero was named Lotte Group’s first “global mega brand” and Lotte is expanding local production, including a new Pepero line at Lotte India in Haryana, to support further international growth.
