Sound Walking Under Autumn Leaves: Sayuwon and DOD Offer Guided Nature ListeningCreatrip Team
a month ago
Sayuwon in Daegu is running a wellness program called “Sound Walking” with global camping lifestyle brand DOD throughout November. Sound Walking—walking while focusing on sound—lets participants explore local soundscapes (audio environments) and has gained popularity across Korea since 2021. The guided route overlooks Palgongsan autumn foliage and passes the quince tree garden “Pungseolgicheonnyeon” and the zelkova forest “Hanyu Sikyung.” Each participant receives a professional mini microphone and headset to discover and record sounds like wind in the trees and birdsong. Attendees get a DOD Spice-Up eco bag (approx. 50,000 KRW value) and a post-walk lunch box including a pumpkin cream cheese bagel and oat coffee at the DOD sound-walking zone. Throughout November, DOD camping gear will be set up on the Hanyu Sikyung deck as a free experience zone for visitors. Sayuwon, named a 2024 Korea Tourism Organization top wellness destination, also offers yoga, tea meditation and will introduce scent therapy this winter. The program runs every Friday in November at 10 AM, limited to 12 people per session by reservation; cost is 89,000 KRW including admission.
