T-map Mobility reported a 41.2% week-on-week increase in visits to areas outside the Seoul metropolitan region during the fourth week of October, much higher than the 14.8% rise within the capital area. The increase was strongest around regional K-food festivals, with destinations like Gimcheon’s Jikji Cultural Park (gimbap festival) and Daegu iM Bank Park in Buk-gu (tteokbokki festival) ranking among popular weekend spots. Other events such as the Geochang Millennium Bugak Festival, Jeonju’s bibimbap festival at the World Cup Stadium, and the Mungyeong Saejae apple festival also saw double-digit visitor growth. T-map Mobility said the trend reflects travelers seeking local food and culture, and the company plans to improve services to help users enjoy new local experiences.
