A pop-up store featuring award-winning Korean tourist souvenirs will open at Gyeongju Station from Oct. 25 to Nov. 2 to commemorate the 2025 APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Summit. The showcase presents 18 winning items from the 2025 Korea Tourism Contest (souvenir category), including the Presidential Award-winning Joseon royal wine stopper and the Prime Minister’s DIY gold leaf craft coloring kit. Visitors can view and buy items inspired by the traditional gat (Korean ceremonial hat), such as the ‘Come Here Gat Wind Bell’ and ‘Joseon Elegance Gat Cup’. The Korea Tourism Organization, an official sponsor of the 2025 APEC Summit, will provide the ‘Black-ribbed Gat String Pen’ (2023 Tourism Contest ministerial award) as an official commemorative gift. The organization says the event aims to promote Korean traditional culture and K-goods to international visitors and raise the brand value of contest winners.
