On the 25th, the National Museum of Korea and the Embassy of Qatar in Seoul will host "Cultural Travel at the Museum," a program introducing Qatari heritage and hospitality. The event features a traditional tent (Bayt al-Shaar) to demonstrate nomadic living and social symbolism, tastings of Arabic coffee (Qahwa) and dates, and opportunities to try traditional dress including the headscarf (Ghutra) and black cord (Agal). A children's troupe from Qatar will perform a traditional male sword dance derived from warrior displays at 2 p.m. The museum also announced a collaboration with the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha to open a permanent Islamic gallery on Nov. 22, marking its first long-term exhibition space dedicated to Islamic cultures. The program aims to foster cultural diversity and deepen public understanding through diplomatic partnerships.
