CJ Group Appoints New CEOs for CJ CheilJedang and CJ Foodville

CJ Group announced CEO appointments: Yoon Seok-hwan will lead CJ CheilJedang while retaining his role as head of the Bio division, and Lee Geon-il will become CEO of CJ Foodville while continuing as CEO of CJ Freshway. The group said it will separate group-led CEO appointments from later, company-level personnel changes to place leaders who can drive business growth and set short- and mid-term strategies early. Yoon has extensive global bio experience, including roles in Latin America, global marketing and R&D; he replaces Kang Shin-ho, who resigned for health reasons. Lee, a former CJ CheilJedang recruit, brings wide food-business and global experience at units such as Tous Les Jours (bakery) and CJ Foods USA. Most other affiliate CEOs remain in place, and a follow-up 2026 executive reshuffle focusing on promoting new leaders is planned.
