PyeongChang Daegwallyeong Music Festival Opens on July 23

The PyeongChang Daegwallyeong Music Festival, known as the Korean 'Waldbühne,' is set to open on July 23 and will run until August 2 in the Gangwon Province. This annual summer classical festival, now in its 22nd year, draws classical music enthusiasts and families alike to the cool forests for performances by around 150 musicians. Highlights include Mahler and Britten compositions and the debut of Britten's opera 'The Turn of the Screw' in Korea. The festival also offers educational opportunities through masterclasses and various side events like artist talks and lectures by renowned academics.
