South Korean composers Choi Jae-hyuck and Ju Jung-hyun, both born in 1994, will host an innovative music event titled 'Primitive Happiness' at Sejong Center's S Theatre in Seoul on 18-19th November. Together with the contemporary music ensemble 'Ensemble Blank', which Choi founded, they will perform unconventional pieces, including the Asian premiere of Jesse Cox's 'Quantify'. The musical performance will be filled with unusual sounds and improvisations that may challenge classical music enthusiasts. Pieces will vary in methodology, where Cox's work involves no musical notes, allowing performers creative freedom, while Choi's 'Straight to Heaven' features detailed instructions. The event aims to awaken the senses with thrilling and dramatic compositions and unique stage setups. Choi and Ju encourage the audience to experience the dynamic fusion of sounds and forms. Ju is an award-winning Korean musician based in Seoul and Los Angeles. The show is part of Sejong Center's 'Sync Next 25', emphasizing boundary-less stages and limitless attempts.
