Goyang City hosted the successful 5th Goyang International Walking Festival in 2025 at Ilsan Lake Park, attracting around 3,000 participants, including walking clubs from across the country and international participants from Mongolia and the Philippines. The event offered various courses ranging from 5km to 50km, catering to different skill levels. There were also celebratory performances and experiential programs at the starting and finishing point. Goyang City intends to continue promoting health and wellness through such events and infrastructure improvements.
