In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Korea-Japan diplomatic relations, exclusive immigration lanes will be trialed at four airports in both countries throughout June. This aims to simplify the entry process for citizens of both nations, including South Koreans visiting Japan. To use these lanes, travelers must have visited their counterpart country at least once in the past year and arrive between 9 AM and 4 PM. South Koreans must preregister on the Visit Japan Web and present a QR code upon arrival. The program is initially available at Gimpo and Gimhae airports in Korea, and Haneda and Fukuoka airports in Japan. This initiative is expected to enhance travel convenience and cultural exchange between the two nations.
