Workation Center to Open in a Natural Setting in Cheongju

Cheongju city in South Korea is set to establish a 'workation center' called 'Starlight Workspace' at Miwon Starlight Natural Recreation Forest. The initiative is part of the 'GO鄕ALL來' project supported by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, aimed at boosting local economies in regions with declining populations. This workspace will blend work and leisure, featuring cafes, video conferencing rooms, and both shared and private offices. The center will also offer local engagement programs for workation participants. The Miwon Starlight Recreation Forest, covering 30 hectares, was purchased by the city for 9.5 billion KRW (Korean Won) last year. Cheongju plans to make this space both attractive and functional while integrating local programs.
