Veteran designer Lee Sang-bong and his son Lee Cheong-cheong have teamed up to launch a new men's casual brand called 2.3.0. Marking Lee Sang-bong’s 40th anniversary in fashion, the collaboration is the designer’s first with his son; they have previously operated separate labels. Aiming to fill a gap between formal suits and streetwear, the brand targets demand for elevated casual menswear. The collection modernizes Lee Sang-bong’s signature Korean motifs—such as Hangeul (Korean alphabet) and dancheong (traditional multicolored decorative patterns)—by turning phrases like “dreams come true” into graphic elements. Both designers say the project balances preserving the founder’s heritage with introducing younger sensibilities, and represents a deliberate generational handover as the father practices “letting go” while the son seeks to maintain the brand’s identity.
