Lotte Wellfood is running a 'K-Snack House' pop-up on the 9th floor of Lotte Department Store's main branch in Myeongdong, Seoul until next month’s 10th. Aimed at foreign tourists, the space uses Korean traditional motifs (e.g., ilwolobongdo - a traditional moon-and-five-peaks painting, giwa roof tiles, and wadang patterns) to offer a local atmosphere while showcasing flagship snacks such as Pepero. The pop-up is divided into a 'Pepero Zone' with photo spots featuring global ambassadors K-pop group Stray Kids, and a 'K-Snack Zone' displaying products sold overseas. Interactive events include SNS photo hashtags for gifts and limited-edition goods for purchasers. Lotte plans to leverage rising interest in K-pop and K-food to connect its snack brands with cultural content and expand touchpoints with international visitors in Myeongdong.
