TikTok and consulting firm Kearney Korea estimate the platform drove over ₩10 trillion in global K-culture (K-컬처) consumption this year and projects about 30% growth to nearly ₩14 trillion by 2030. The study, based on a survey of 3,300 consumers (ages 16–49) across 10 countries and economic analysis, finds TikTok especially influential in K-beauty, K-food, K-fashion, K-tourism (K-관광), K-drama and K-pop-related purchases. TikTok users spend an average of 95 minutes daily—2.5 times more than on other platforms—boosting discovery and content production of K-culture. The report estimates TikTok’s direct economic effect at about ₩10.75 trillion and a total ripple effect exceeding ₩31 trillion when domestic production impacts are included. While K-beauty currently generates the largest direct impact, K-tourism is expected to show the highest growth rate, with Brazil projected as the fastest-growing market and the U.S. the largest market by size.
