bhc announced that its fried chicken menu 'Kwasak-king' has surpassed 7 million cumulative sales less than a year after launch, making it the fastest bhc menu to reach that milestone. Paired with three seasoning packs in the 'Kwasak-tok' option, the product helped bhc become the company’s second-highest revenue contributor last year. Big-data search analysis also ranked bhc and Kwasak-king as the most-searched chicken brand and menu in Korea. The chicken features an extra-crispy crumb made from potato, corn and rice with bhc’s frying technique, and comes with a sweet habanero sauce. Following domestic success, bhc rolled out Kwasak-king in Hong Kong and Thailand and plans phased launches in Singapore, Malaysia and the U.S., reinforcing its position as a leading K-chicken brand. bhc says the product has driven sales and invigorated franchise operations, and the company will continue developing distinctive menu items to offer unique flavors and steady income for franchisees.
