Artist Park Mira presents monochrome works where severed objects and body parts do not signify disconnection but hint at rebirth, transition, and transformation. Drawing on dreamlike imagery rather than fixed symbolic systems, her black-and-white drawings expand into painting, video, and installation. Fragmented limbs, paper boats, CCTV-headed birds, and glowing eyes act as portals between inner emotion and unknown dimensions, suggesting movement rather than rupture. Recurrent motifs—a procession toward an afterlife, endlessly falling snow (눈), and guiding watchful eyes—explore the boundary where decay and regeneration meet, proposing that endings open into new continuities. Park’s work reads as an anthropological landscape of shared human feeling: confronting loss and death while obsessively tracking the forces that set things in motion again, inviting viewers to witness a threshold into possibilities beyond time.
