Maeil Dairies to Exclusively Distribute US Candy Brand NERDS in Korea

Maeil Dairies has signed an exclusive distribution deal to bring Ferrara Candy Company’s NERDS (US top candy brand) to South Korea. Starting March next year, Maeil will import and sell NERDS Gummy Clusters through convenience stores, large supermarkets and online channels, combining the brand’s original identity with localized marketing. Ferrara, a Chicago-based confectioner with over 115 years of history, markets NERDS since 1982 and is a leading US candy seller. Maeil aims to use this premium global brand to expand into the fast-growing Korean jelly (젤리) market—now over four times the size of the former gum market—and make jelly a new growth pillar by leveraging its distribution experience.
