Musinsa, a leading Korean fashion platform, has leased about 20 retail spaces around Seoul Forest (a popular park and neighborhood in Seoul) with plans for more, investing roughly 10 billion won. A few locations were purchased. The company will offer these spaces to tenant brands at below-market rents to help brands that want offline stores but face high rent costs. The initiative aims to revive the subdued Seoul Forest retail area and create synergies by having related brands close together. Musinsa already operates several stores in Seongsu-dong, including Musinsa Standard and Musinsa Store, and plans tenants through internal discussions.
