Minister Kim Yoon-duk of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport visited Muan International Airport before the Chuseok holiday to pay respects to the victims of the 12·29 airplane disaster and to offer condolences to their families. He promised to stand by the families until they return to normalcy and committed to ensuring an objective and professional investigation into the incident. Chuseok (Korean harvest festival) is a time when families traditionally gather, and a joint memorial service will be held at the airport on the holiday itself.
