Pocheon City will run a family-oriented interactive Lunar New Year program, “2026 Seollal Geo Hanmadang,” at the Hantangang UNESCO Global Geopark Center from Feb. 14–18. Designed to promote local culture and the geopark’s accessibility, the event offers free activities such as traditional cultural experiences, family movie screenings, and making a March 1st (Samiljeol) banner, plus paid, geology-themed workshops like making geology-shaped cookies, traditional Korean sweets (hangwa), and cake decorating. Visitors can enjoy Hantangang’s natural landscapes alongside hands-on traditions to create unique holiday memories. The center will be closed on Feb. 17 (Seollal). For details, contact the Hantangang Geopark Center.
