My friend and I didn’t join the morning half-day tour, so we went to the TV station on our own at the designated time to meet up (a few days before the event, you’ll receive a detailed guide by email). That day we took the subway to Gayang Station—after exiting from Exit 10, it’s about a 3-minute walk and you’re there! After getting our number ticket, we still had a bit of time to get ready and use the restroom (there’s a free restroom nearby you can go to first, because once you enter, the TV station doesn’t provide restrooms!). We rested at a café next door first, then went back to the meeting point before lineup time. The recording venue is pretty small, and entry order is based on the number on your tag. Our number was somewhere in the middle-to-back, but we happened to sit in the very center of the last row, and the view was even better than most concert seating sections (a friend with experience said the order of the seating/entry area arrangement is random every time, so just use that as a reference). The only downside is that on the small stage for the MC area, there will be cue boards and camera equipment set up, so the view is a bit obstructed. But this is probably something that affects you more or less no matter where you sit. Not long after entering, the program recording officially starts. Because it’s a live TV broadcast, you have to be careful not to interfere with the recording when interacting with the artists. From the moment you enter, you’re not allowed to audio record or film the entire time, and staff will constantly and very carefully patrol the front and back. The lineup that day was great—BND/RIIZE/TREASURE/H2H/MEOVV/izna, etc.—but not every group will come on stage to perform. If an artist has pre-recorded a stage in advance, they might not come on (the pre-recorded video will be shown on the screen), or they might only come out and dance half a song for the audience! Even though there are free ways to get in for pre-recordings or live broadcasts, the difficulty is much higher. Buying a ticket to get in directly is the easiest way. The total recording time is about 1.5–2 hours. In terms of interaction level, view, and value for money (lots of artists), it’s not inferior to a concert at all. And being able to enter a studio you’ve been watching since you were little and participate in a recording is a really special experience in itself. I highly recommend that when an artist you like makes a comeback, you come to Korea to take part in their comeback activities!
