- Things To Do At Hangang Park
The Han River is the most famous river in Korea. It runs thousands of miles through the middle of Seoul and has many public parks along the way. The scenery along the river is very beautiful, especially at night, and both locals and tourists alike love visiting the Han River to spend time with loved ones.
The Han River is quite long and there are a total of 12 parks. If you're not sure which one to go to, keep reading for a guide on all 12 Han River Parks!
1) Yeouido Hangang Park | 여의도 한강공원
Yeouido Hangang Park is one of top 3 most popular parks in Hangang. There are many spots to hang out at in Yeouido and a beautiful view of the city!
It is especially popular in April, when the annual Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival happens!
It is also very popular to visit in the summer because there is a night market called the "Seoul Bamdokkaebi Night Market".
In October, you can see the famous Seoul International Fireworks Festival!

2) Banpo Hangang Park | 반포 한강공원
Banpo Hangang Park is also very famous among locals and tourists as a hangout spot in Seoul. It has an amazing view of the Seoul N Tower!
The most famous part about this park is the Rainbow Bridge Moonlight Fountain, which is only available from April to October! Check out the schedule below:

3) Ttukseom Hangang Park｜뚝섬한강공원
Ttukseom Hangang Park is another park that is very popular in Seoul! It's right by the Seongsu and Seoul Forest area and is a great place to enjoy a picnic.
It has a great view of Lotte Tower, the tallest building in Korea and 5th tallest in the world, and Olympic Stadium, where many sports events and large-scale K-pop concerts take place.
If you like being active, Ttukseom is also a great place to do sports! There are basketball courts, soccer fields, tennis courts, badminton courts, and many water activities to enjoy as well.

4) Ichon Hangang Park | 이촌 한강공원
Ichon Hangang Park has a much quieter atmosphere compared to the other parks along the Han River.
There are lots of hidden scenic spots in Ichon Hangang Park, which also has lots of cool outdoor art displays.
From here, you can see the floating island Nodeulseom too! It's a great spot to relax or peacefully ride a bike.

5) Mangwon Hangang Park | 망원 한강공원
Mangwon Hangang Park is the most famous park in the Mapo-gu area. The swimming pool opens in summer, and there are also many water activities to enjoy.
Of course, it is a good place to visit not just in summer, but also in autumn and winter to enjoy the beautiful scenery.

6) Nanji Hangang Park｜난지한강공원
Nanji Hangang Park is not as popular as the other spots above, but is very well-known for camping!
The Nanji Campground is a great place to spend a day outdoors by the river!

7) Yanghwa Hangang Park｜양화한강공원
For a less crowded area with a stunning view, check out Yanghwa Hangang Park. You can see Yanghwa Bridge and Seonyudo Island!

8) Gwangnaru Hangang Park｜광나루한강공원
Gwangnaru Hangang Park is located on the east side of Seoul, near the outskirts of the city. Many families like to relax here by having a picnic or riding a bike!

9) Jamwon Hangang Park｜잠원한강공원
Jamwon Hangang Park is located in the Gangnam area, and is easily accessible from Apgujeong.
It has the famous floating Starbucks location in the Seoul Wave building! It's definitely worth a visit.

10) Jamsil Hangang Park｜잠실한강공원
Jamsil Hangang Park is near Jamsil Sports Complex, Lotte World, and Olympic Park, and boasts a beautiful view of Lotte Tower!

11) Seonyudo Hangang Park｜선유도한강공원
Seonyudo is a little island that is accessible from Yanghwa Bridge. It's great to visit if you want a quiet, relaxing time, and is especially beautiful at night!

12) Gangseo Hangang Park｜강서한강공원
Gangseo Hangang Park is not very popular, but is designated as a wetland conservation park. It is also near the Seoul Botanic Park!

Things To Do At Hangang Park
1) Have a picnic
One of the most popular activities to do at the Han River is to have a picnic! It's best to go when the weather is nice during spring, early summer, or fall.
You can rent a picnic sent and pick up snacks at the nearby convenience store or order delivery.
2) Eat Hangang Ramen
We also highly recommend having instant ramen at the Han River!
There are instant ramen machines that are available at the convenience stores at most Hangang Parks. For some reason, the ramen tastes exceptionally delicious when made with these machines!
3) Ride a bicycle
Another really popular activity to enjoy at Hangang Park is riding a bike!
