Instant noodles are one of the easiest food that you can cook wherever and whenever! Due to the delicious taste and convenience, Koreans love instant noodles and they are accessible at any convenience store or supermarkets.

According to the World Instant Noodles Association, the total yearly consumption of instant noodles is about 390 million packets, which ranks 7th globally. Moreover, Koreans consume 75 instant noodles a year, which ranked them 1st globally.   Since the majority of Koreans are a big fan of instant noodles, let's find out which ones are their favorite!

Every instant noodle always comes with a piece of kelp to enhance the flavor of the noodle but there's no need to finish it.

#4. Ansungtangmyun (Nongshim)

This is one of the oldest ramens from Nongshim; the company started producing it since 1983, and this ramen's huge sales helped Nongshim to secure its place as the leader in the industry.

Also, this is known as Kang Ho-dong's favorite instant noodle. He added that Ansungtangmyun has the best flavor to mix with other supplement ingredients such as bean sprouts, egg, kimchi... anything really!

#3. Jjapaghetti (Nongshim)

Third on the list is Jjapaghetti, with an annual sales of ₩163 billion. Unlike other instant noodles that we have mentioned, this one is soupless. You boil the noodles first and mix with the powder after draining the water. It also became popular from the movie Parasite! You should try the combination of Jjapaghetti and Neoguri together.

You can get a wide range of jjajang-flavored ramen now, but Jjapaghetti is the original. Its' originality is the reason why Jjapaghetti is still ranked high compared to other brands.

#2. Jin Ramen(Ottugi)

In the second place, we have Jin Ramen with sales of ₩177 billion. Surprisingly, Jin Ramen is the only Ottugi ramen on the list today. A specialty about this ramen is that they offer two different versions: mild and spicy. (Mild flavour is the blue one!  )

One thing to note, Jin Ramen goes on sale pretty often with generous discounts. I go with Jin Ramen quite often for these reasons. Great value for a great price. I love it!

#1. Shin Ramyun (Nongshim)

And of course, the first place is Shin Ramyun with sales of ₩333 billion. Most of you guys have run into it before at a grocery store! I would say this is the easiest instant noodle that you can find from any grocery store outside of Korea. Shin Ramyun is exported to over 100 countries and maintains the first place in Korea as well.

Sin Ramyun succeeded in targeting spicy-loving Korean's taste buds. I highly recommend trying this out!
