1) Ottogi Jin Ramen | 진라면

The #1 selling ramen in Korea is Jin Ramen! This can be considered the most traditional style of Korean instant ramen. You can choose from Mild or Spicy!

BTS Jin had an iconic collaboration with the brand in 2022. Not only does he love the ramen itself, they have the same name!

2) Nongshim Shin Ramen | 신라면

Shin Ramen is a classic and can be considered the original best-selling Korean ramen. It's quite spicy, but super delicious!

Nongshim has since come out with other versions, such as Shin Ramen Black, which has an additional soup stock packet for added flavor, and a dry noodle version.

3) Nongshim Neoguri | 너구리

Neoguri, which literally means "raccoon" in Korean, is also a very popular ramen globally. It's known for having a delicious seafood flavor due to the dried Kombu sheet it comes with, and thicker noodles.

You can also find a mild and "angry" (spicy) version, as well as other variations of flavors such as curry, mala, and more!

Neoguri is known to be SEVENTEEN Mingyu's favorite ramen! He made it once for the other members on an episode of In The Soop Seventeen, and they all loved it!

4) Nongshim Chapagetti | 짜파게티

Another classic instant ramen is Chapagetti, which is an instant version of the Korean-Chinese fusion dish Jajangmyeon, also known as black bean noodles.

It has a very distinct, savory flavor, so some people even prefer the instant version over the actual dish! There's a spicy version of the ramen as well!

5) Nongshim Chapaguri | 짜파구리

Chapaguri, also known as Ram-don, is actually a combo of Neoguri and Chapagetti, resulting in a delicious flavor combination of the thick black bean sauce and spicy, seafood stock soup.

It was made famous from the Oscar-winning Korean movie Parasite, where Yeon-kyo enjoyed a bowl Chapaguri as a late-night snack.

The combination gained so much popularity that Nongshim came out with an official Chapaguri product! It can now be easily found at any mart or convenience store.

6) Paldo Bibimmyeon | 비빔면

This instant ramen, which is an instant version of the spicy Korean cold noodle dish called Bibimmyeon, is not as well-known internationally, but is an absolute favorite in Korea!

It's super easy to make and perfect for the summer!

BTS RM and Jung Kook were seen enjoying Bibimmyeon on a live broadcast and expressed their love for the ramen. They also mentioned they love it so much they wish the portion was a bit bigger, so Paldo came out with a 1.2 portion version!

7) Samyang Buldak Ramen | 발닭볶음면

The trendiest, most viral Korean instant ramen at the moment has to be Buldak Ramen, also known as Fire Ramen! Like its name, this ramen is extremely spicy, to the point where even Koreans can't handle it!

There are a lot of different flavors to choose from, and many people on TikTok upload Mukbangs trying different flavors of Buldak.

The most popular flavor out of all might be the Carbonara Buldak, which comes with a packet of white powder that adds a creaminess to the ramen, and also cuts some of the spice.

You can even get the different flavors separately as a sauce and use them in everyday cooking!

Recently, popular girl group (G)I-IDLE did a collaboration with Buldak and made a whole song and MV! You can watch it here.

8) Ottogi Sesame Ramen | 참깨라면

Another ramen that is not as popular globally, but quite popular in Korea, is Sesame Ramen. If you like sesame oil or flavoring, you'll love this one! It comes with a packet of sesame oil and even a dehydrated egg.

There's also a dry noodle version, which is just as delicious but a bit spicier.

9) Nongshim Yukgaejang | 육개장

This ramen is also an instant version of a traditional Korean soup called Yukgaejang, which is a spicy beef soup. The instant version doesn't really replicate the flavors of the actual dish, but it is still yummy!

You can find it in 2 sizes at any mart or convenience store!

10) Ottogi Cup Noodle | 컵누들

As you may know, Koreans are very conscious of their figures, but they can't give up ramen, so there is a low-calorie version called Cup Noodle that many people love because it's still delicious! It comes with glass noodles instead, significantly cutting down calories.

Cup Noodle also comes in a variety of flavors, such as Udon, Rose, Mala, and more!
