Daegu City Returns ￦12B

Shincheonji donated ￦12 billion (Approximately $10 million) caused a buzz in Korea. Some people got curious, how a church could come up with such a lot of money in 24 hours. Shincheonji didn't turn in the complete list of believers, and executive didn't put their effort in preventing the spread of the disease. 

The mayor of Daegu said. "We decided not to accept ￦10 billion donated to Daegu branch of Community Chest of Korea, and ￦2 billion donated to Central branch of Community Chest of Korea."

Community Chest of Korea announced through its spokes man that Shincheonji has donated without prior consultation. Considering the morality and legality of the problem, it decided to return the donated money.

Mayor of Daegu also pointed out that many Shincheonji believers refused to enter the treatment facilities, and they do not follow the government guideline. Shincheonji believers turned the Coronavirus situation to a more serious one. He demanded that Shincheonji executives take initiative to ease Coronavirus situation, and donation is not the answer.
