If you're eyeing tickets for a concert or performance in Korea, don't fret—just follow the steps we've laid out below! With our expert guidance and your quick reflexes, securing those tickets will be a breeze.

1. Acquire ticket booking information of the concert in advance.

Being prepared is key, and that means having all the ticketing information beforehand! The crucial details you need are the exact date, time, and the layout of the ticket vendor's website. With this information at hand, you'll find it much easier to choose the date, time, and seat for your desired concert or performance.

It's crucial to be as detailed as possible to increase your chances of success. For instance, rather than saying "I want BTS tickets for the 15th-16th of this month," it's far more effective to specify, "I want tickets for the second BTS performance at 8pm on the 16th, in seating section R." Knowing the precise time tickets go on sale is also vital. Buying tickets the moment they're released ensures their authenticity.

2. Practice booking tickets

Wouldn't it be helpful to hone your ticket-buying skills? Good news—there's a Korean ticketing practice website available in both Korean and English. This site allows you to simulate purchasing tickets from the six ticket vendors we mentioned earlier.

After registering with an email and password, you can engage in a ticket-buying simulation game. This game mirrors the actual ticketing website, allowing you to practice inputting the time, date, seat, and payment information for a performance you're interested in attending. Using this site can help you build the muscle memory needed for purchasing tickets efficiently.

3. On the day of ticket sales, pull up the exact time on Navyism.

It's essential to synchronize your timing to the ticket sales launch down to the millisecond. However, keep in mind that different ticketing site servers may display slightly different times. Navyism is a website that provides the precise server time for any website. We recommend keeping it open when you're trying to purchase your tickets! Many Koreans turn to Navyism for time-sensitive tasks, such as buying concert tickets or enrolling in university courses.

By logging onto Navyism, you can obtain the most precise server time for any ticket vending website. Simply use the search bar to find the ticket vendor's website. For instance, if we take Interpark Ticket as an example, you can see the exact server time without needing to log in. Make sure to keep this window open until it's time to purchase tickets.

4. Register and log in to the ticket booking site in advance.

Running into the sign-in window while trying to purchase tickets will definitely slow you down! It's much more efficient to log into the ticketing site beforehand. If you don't already have an account, make sure to register well in advance.

5. Place Navyism and the ticket vendor site side by side.

As suggested by the photo above, we recommend placing the Navyism site and the ticket vendor's site side by side on your screen! However, if this setup doesn't work for you, consider using a cellphone or a secondary screen as an alternative. It's highly recommended to complete these preparations at least 5-10 minutes before tickets go on sale. Remember, timing is everything when it comes to purchasing concert tickets!

6. Prepare the reservation screen.

After finishing the earlier steps with enough time to spare, there's one more crucial step in the ticket-buying battle: entering all the concert details, such as the date, time, and seat. Typically, there's a calendar feature that allows you to select your desired date and time. However, be aware that there are instances where you can't enter the concert details until the tickets are released. So, always be prepared for this possibility!

7. It's time to execute what you've practiced in the real deal!

After you've finished all the prep work, the only thing left is the actual ticketing process! With everything in place (logged in, performance details entered, etc.), just wait for the server time to align with the ticket release time. Keep an eye on the time displayed on Navyism. When it matches the ticket release time, you should be able to start reserving the tickets. You might need to refresh the page to proceed.

If your reservation request is successful, you'll be taken to a page where you can select your desired seat. The seats available for selection will be highlighted in purple. After choosing your seat, you can move on to the next step.

Then, you'll have the option to choose how you'd like to receive your tickets—either picking them up at the venue or having them delivered to you (the latter option is only available within Korea).

8. Make the payment

The final step in the ticketing process is payment! You can pay using a credit card, KakaoPay, or, if you have a Korean bank account, you can also opt for a bankbook deposit. Once you've entered your payment details, the ticketing process is officially complete.

9. Didn't manage to secure a ticket? Don't lose hope—keep an eye out for cancellation tickets.

If tickets vanished in the blink of an eye despite your preparation, or you couldn't get the seats you desired, don't worry! Cancellation tickets are released every day, offering another chance to get your hands on them.

There are plenty of instances where individuals who missed out during the initial ticket release manage to secure cancellation tickets later on. So, don't throw in the towel just yet! Keep an eye on the ticket vendor's site for any cancelled tickets that might pop up.

There's even a Korean expression for this scenario: it's like finding purple grapes (available seats) among the grey (taken seats)!

Tips

Study the seating chart before the ticketing process! It's best to know what seats you want so you don't panic!

Log on to and have several ticket booking sites open in case one freezes! Don't have too many open though, it can lead to longer loading times!
